Buying an authorised PI removes the application queue: permissions, governance documents and banking relationships transfer with the company, subject to the regulator approving the change of control.

FAQ

What is the difference between a PI and an EMI?
An EMI may issue electronic money and hold client balances as e-money; a PI executes payment transactions without issuing e-money. EMIs carry higher capital requirements and are usually priced accordingly.
Can a PI licence be passported across the EU?
An EU-authorised PI can passport into other EEA states. A UK PI lost passporting after Brexit and operates under the FCA only.
